La Paloma Academy is seeking a School Bus Driver for an immediate opening at our South campus, located at 5660 S. 12th Avenue in Tucson. This position provides transportation services to our kindergarten through eighth grade students and plays an important role in ensuring their safe and timely arrival and departure each school day.
La Paloma Academy South is a charter school. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Feel free to call the office at 520-807-9668 to make an appointment to visit and tour the school. The campus is amazing, and our enrollment continues to grow.
What We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will be friendly, professional, energetic, organized, and committed to the safe and timely transportation of La Paloma Academy South students. This individual should provide excellent customer service, work well under time constraints, and be able to meet deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have a Class B driving endorsement
- Must be capable of obtaining a valid IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Strong communication skills
- Self-directed personality traits
- Courteous and professional demeanor and dress
- Ability to meet all applicable federal and state driving regulations and requirements
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
- Participation in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS)

Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 6:00-9:00 a.m. and 2:30-5:30 p.m
- Wednesday: 6:00-9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m
- Additional daytime hours are available for driving school field trips
